Investment Leader/Project Controller at Fortifikationsverket

Fortifikationsverket is seeking an investment leader/project controller for a project unit in Eskilstuna. As an investment leader in the project department, you will work with financial management, monitoring, and reporting of our construction projects. You will be part of a tight team with the unit manager and project leaders, ensuring that project leaders stay on track regarding time, cost, and adhere to the agreements we have with our clients. Fortifikationsverket owns, develops, and manages properties for total defense. Our main mission is to contribute to increased defense capability – for a safe and free Sweden. The project department has an important and responsible task: to provide functional and sustainable premises and fortifications that meet our clients' growing needs.

Working as an Investment Leader at Fortifikationsverket

As an investment leader at Fortifikationsverket, you will work closely with the unit manager and our project leaders to ensure that the progress of construction projects is closely monitored from a financial, quality, and time perspective. Your role is similar to that of a project controller who supports the budget and forecasting work of the projects and is responsible for ensuring that processes, common working methods, and routines within the unit are followed. The role also includes reviewing documentation for investment decisions as well as for the early stages of investment projects and assessing the reasonableness regarding time and budget in the projects. You will be responsible for following up on the unit's and project leaders' project portfolios. You will belong to a project unit in Eskilstuna that currently consists of a unit manager and 9 project leaders. You will also have close collaboration with our other investment leaders in other units.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university, college, or high school education and/or other documented experience that we assess as equivalent. The focus of your education is in economics, property management, or construction.
• several years of experience working with budgets, investigations, and reporting, primarily related to projects in construction and management.
• documented experience working with IT system support.

Since you will be working with coordination, follow-up, and analysis, it is required that you have good administrative skills and strong knowledge of Swedish. As the role may involve travel, a Class B driver's license is required.

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience in construction management
• experience with Fortifikationsverket's operations, primarily in construction and management
• knowledge of the Armed Forces' operations
• knowledge of property and construction law

About the Employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Eskilstuna. An employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and entails placement in a security class.
